She was born on Nov. 21, 1918, in Dodgeville, the daughter of William and Susan (Wenner) Ley. Mary graduated from Dodgeville High School in 1937. She married Edward A. Her warm smile and the unconditional love she gave to her family and friends will be in our hearts forever! Her other passions were church gatherings, cooking, playing with her grandchildren, sewing, and visiting with friends and family. Mary will be greatly missed by us all. Mary is survived by her sons, William Sperbeck of Wellsley, Mass., Robert Sperbeck of Sun Prairie, and James Sperbeck of Waunakee; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; parents; granddaughter, Stacy Sperbeck; and five brothers, Gene, Francis, Bert, Leo, and George. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5105 Schofield St., Monona, on Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at 11:30 a.m., with Father John Meinholz presiding.
