Edward Grunewald

Grunewald, Edward P. FITCHBURG - Edward P. Grunewald, age 53, of Fitchburg, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2008, at home after a brief illness of pancreatic cancer. He was born on March 2, 1955, in Marshall, the son of Elmer and Ethel (Frentzel) Grunewald. Ed attended Marshall High School. After high school, he became active in the restaurant industry, and was the owner of Club 5. Ed traveled the world extensively. In some of his travels, he included mission work. He is survived by four siblings, Eleanor (Charles) Terhall, Gene (Wilma) Grunewald, Eldon (Delores) Grunewald, and Elizabeth Robertson; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Yohandi Ortega. Ed was preceded in death by his parents. A private family memorial service will be held at the HOSPICECARE CHAPEL, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Fitchburg, on Saturday, May 17, 2008, with Chaplain Bob Groth presiding. A public visitation will be held at the chapel on Saturday, from 2:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Madison AIDS Network or to the American Cancer Society.
