Jesse Thornsen

Thornsen, Jesse L. MADISON Jesse L. Thornsen, age 57, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2008, at home. He was born on March 26, 1951, in Madison, to Ruth (Buchanan) and Linus Thornsen. Jesse graduated from La Follette High School in 1969 and Madison Area Technical College in 1991, with an associate degree in data processing. He married Sharon Machut on Oct. 24, 1981. Jesse worked at American Family Insurance Co. for the past 16 years as a computer programmer. He loved riding his Harley Sportster and fishing at the cottage in Montello. Jesses proudest accomplishment was being the author of two books, "Shes Strange for Such a Little Girl" and "The Shadow of a Fallen Man." He is survived by his wife, Sharon; son, Ryne; daughter, Katrina; parents, Linus and Ruth "Pat" Thornsen; brother, Jamye (Lou) Thornsen; mother-in-law, Ruby Machut; brothers-in-law, Gary (Jaynanne) Machut and Jeff Machut; sister-in-law, Diane (Paul) Richards; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 11, 2008, with Father Kent Schmitt presiding. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with devotions at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2008.
