Ardith Witt

Witt, Ardith Marie COTTAGE GROVE/ MADISON Ardith Marie Witt, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at Heartland Country Village, Black Earth. She was born on Jan. 17, 1932, in the Township of Adams, Green County, the daughter of Henry and Marie Garrison. Ardith graduated from Darlington High School in 1950, and later UW-Stout. She married Kenneth Witt on Aug. 22, 1957, in Mannheim, Germany. Ardith taught home economics in California and in Oshkosh. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth of Portage; daughters, Diana (Kirk) Burnstad of Portage and Linda (Dennis) Higginbotham of Boca Raton, Fla.; son, John (Michelle) Witt of Briggsville; grandchildren, Scott Burnstad and Erick Burnstad of Holman, and Brandon Witt of Briggsville; brother, Gary (Veronica) Garrison of Darlington; and by other relatives and friends. Ardith was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Carl "Buddy" Garrison; and sister, Betty Kundert. Funeral services will be held at ERICKSON FUNERAL HOME, 508 Park Place, Darlington, on Saturday, April 19, 2008, at noon. Burial will be at Union Grove Cemetery, Darlington.
