Clyde Squire

Squire, Clyde G. OREGON - Clyde G. Squire, age 59, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 21, 2008, of a heart attack. He was born on May 10, 1948, in Madison, the son of Leonard and Carolyn (Young) Squire. Clyde attended the local Seventh-Day Adventitst school and academy through high school, attended one year of college in Walla Walla, Wash., and graduated from Madison Business College, with a degree in accounting. After a long bachelorhood, he met Julie Talarczyk in 1983. They were united in marriage on Feb. 6, 1988. Clyde worked in all areas of new construction over the years, including building his own homes. He had been self-employed as a finish-trim carpenter for the last 10 years. Clyde enjoyed hunting, the Packers, and handcrafting wood furniture and toys for family and friends. Most of all he loved spending time with family; he was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and great-uncle. Clyde is survived by his wife, Julie; his daughters, Andria and Stacie; his parents, Leonard and Carolyn; four brothers, Stan, Rod, Tim (Nancy) and Roy (Tina); his in-laws, Nick and Judy Nikles; his nieces, Amy (Sam) Edwards, Tammy (Dan) Morrill, Melissa (Clint) Smith and Michele (Dave) Squire-Schlapper; his nephews, Alex Squire, and Noah and Joshua; his great-nieces, Shelby, Morgan, Jordan and Rayna; his great-nephews, Hunter and Ryan; as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Mabel Squire, and Rolland and Ruth Young. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 431 Soden Drive, Oregon, at 7 p.m., on Thursday, March 27, 2008, with the Rev. Richard Sisson presiding. Private burial in Prairie Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
