Quam, Elizabeth M. EVANSVILLE/ EDGERTON/ STOUGHTON Elizabeth M. Quam, age 88, of Stoughton, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2008, at Nazareth House. She was born on April 17, 1919, in Pewaukee, the daughter of Joseph and Otillia Stoehr. She married Delores Quam in November 1936, in Milwaukee. Together they farmed the Wisconsin Berryland Farm in rural Evansville. She also worked at the Edgerton Shoe Factory. In 1973, Elizabeth and Delores retired from farming and built a home in Edgerton. Elizabeth resided at the Nazareth House for the past three years. She is survived by her sons, Eric (Gwen) Quam of Stoughton and Sid (Delores) Quam of Ridgeway; two grandchildren, James (JoAnn) and Allison; a sister, Angeline Ryan; good friends, Mary Ann and Jim Rodemacker, and Delores Manghera; and many relatives and friends. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Delores in 1984; a son, John in 2004; parents; two brothers, Joseph and Tony; four sisters, Tilli, Barbara, Grace, and Mary; and a grandson, Mark Quam in 2006. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. ANNS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 323 N. Van Buren St., Stoughton, on Monday, March 24, 2008, at 11 a.m. with Monsignor Gerard Healy presiding. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Edgerton. A visitation will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL HOME, Highway 51 north at Jackson St., Stoughton, on Sunday, March 23, 2008, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., and on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
