Obituary
Currie, Virginia MADISON Virgina M. Currie, age 82 of Madison, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2008, at HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born Sept. 22, 1925, in Argyle, the daughter of Frank and Clara (Wahler) McQuillan. Virginia raised three children and was a strong and independent woman who strived to instill her values and beliefs in her children. Of all her many wonderful qualities, it was her sense of humor that endeared her to her family and countless friends. Her lasting legacy will be her zest for life and her love of family. Virginia is survived by her three children, James Currie of Tulalip, Wash., Joanne (Timothy) Woellner of Middleton and Jerry (Anita) Currie of Stoughton; four grandchildren, Jason, Jamie, Amy and Macallan; and six great-grandchildren, Jackson, Mackallan, Emma, Jada, Josie and Colton. She is further survived by siblings, Mildred Kammerude, Marie Knobel and Paul McQuillan. Virginia is further survived by nieces, nephews and far too many friends to mention. She is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Ken and Glenn McQuillan. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave. Middleton, at 6 p.m. on Wednesday April 2, 2008. Burial will be at Argyle Cemetery on Friday, April 4, 2008. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Immediately following the services, the celebration of Virginias life will continue at Mid Town Pub in Middleton. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to HospiceCare Inc. or to the Dane County Humane Society.
