Ardith Greene

Greene, Ardith E. MIDDLETON/ MADISON Ardith E. Greene, age 80, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2008, at the HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg. She was born on Dec. 6, 1927, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Lewis and Florence (Ackley) Lynch. Ardith raised her children in the Eau Claire area and Sycamore, Ill., until moving to Middleton in 1980, where she worked for National Electrostatic until her retirement in 1992. Ardith was a member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church and was active in several community groups. She had a variety of interests and loved to paint, travel and the arts. Ardith is survived by her five children, Natalie (Ed) Barger and their sons, Russell Baatz and Roy Barger of Port Gratiot, Mich., Michael (Rebecca) Greene of Laughlin, Nev., Terry (Lorraine) Greene and their son, Max of Fort Worth, Texas, Patricia (Ed) Berkes of Spooner, and Kathryn Greene of Maui, Hawaii; and five siblings, Marjorie Geise of Hudson, Don (Margaret) Lynch of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Jerry (Marion) Lynch, of Newark, Del., Charlotte (Glen) Wesenberg of Green Bay, and Norman Lynch of San Francisco, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Merle Greene. Memorial services will be held at the GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2008, with the Rev. Katya Ouchkof presiding. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
