Selma Witte

Witte, Selma M. MONONA Selma May Witte, formerly of Monona, died on Tuesday, March 18, 2008. She was born in 1916, to Selma and Edward Dierckes, in Covington, Ky. Selma married Harold Witte in 1946, and together they lived in Appleton, Madison, Janesville and later, Monona. She enjoyed art, gardening, traveling with their daughters and friendships with neighbors. Selma later returned to Kentucky and then moved to Illinois. She is survived by daughters, M. Lee Witte (Richard Miko) and Ellen (Michael) Miller; five grandchildren, Jean (Jim) Alt, Steven (Julie) Miko, Stephanie (Scott) Key, Laura Miko and Matthew Miller; four great-grandchildren, Ava and Max Key, Adam Alt and Cassandra Miko. Selma was preceded in death by her parents; and husband. A visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, from 11 a.m. until noon on Monday, March 24, 2008, followed by graveside services at Resurrection Cemetery.
