Horstman, Richard J. "Rick" STOUGHTON/CHIPPEWA FALLS Richard J. "Rick" Horstman, age 51, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 28, 2008. He was born on July 12, 1956, in Bloomington, Minn., the son of Richard and Carol (Sorenson) Horstman. Rick loved fishing, hunting, the outdoors, and riding his Harley. He was a successful entrepreneur starting many businesses over the years. Rick opened his home and his heart to people doing whatever he could do to help. He loved spending time with his family and had great love for his grandma, and most of all, loved the Lord. Rick is survived by his four children, Justin, Jerrid, Alissa (Colin) Altenburg, and Jordan; grandson, Bishop Altenburg; mother, Carol Horstman; grandmother, Delores Sorenson; brother, Robby Horstman; sister, Roxy Horstman; best friends, Jean Rose and Julie Horstman; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was proceeded in death by his father, Richard; and brother, Ron. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr, Madison, at 7 p.m., on Monday, March 31, 2008, with the Rev. Tom Flaherty and the Rev. Shane Holden of Mad City Church presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
