Terry Anderson

Anderson, Terry H. COTTAGE GROVE Terry "Rock" Anderson, age 56, died on Sunday, March 2, 2008, at St. Marys Hospital in Madison from injuries following an accident in his home. He was born on May 10, 1951, in Madison, the son of Howard and Jeanne Anderson. Terry graduated from Madison East High School in 1969, and attended college at UW-Oshkosh and Madison Area Technical College. He had worked for 36 years with General Beverage/Beer in Madison. Terry enjoyed boating on Lake Monona with friends and family and was a master chef on the grill. He loved his four dogs and was a true friend to many, and a wonderful son and brother. He will be remembered by his nieces and nephews as the best uncle ever created. He loved spoiling them with presents and treats when they were little (usually ice cream right before dinner) and continued to shower attention on them as they grew into adults. He was a big part of their lives and took extra good care of his nieces in Madison. He loved his trips to Arizona to cook up his famous chicken wings for his nephews and he especially loved the Las Vegas trips when all four of his nieces and nephews were together with him. Terry is survived by his brother, Tom (Debby) Anderson of Madison; his sister, Susan (Tim) Moncher of Scottsdale, Ariz.; his nieces, Lindsey Anderson of Milwaukee, and Brooke Anderson of Madison; his nephews, Bill and Andy Moncher of Tempe, Ariz.; his beloved Sheltie dogs, Snowy, Echo, Blackjack and Ling; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his beloved companion of 28 years, Sandy Olson. His family wishes to thank Dr. Richard Carter and the staff of St. Marys Hospital Surgical/Intensive Care Unit for the loving care they provided Terry during his final days and his co-workers at General Beverage for their support during this difficult time. The family also wants to acknowledge the assistance provided to his loving pets by Mary Escalante and Dolores Kester. A visitation will be held will be held Friday, March 7, 2008, from noon until 2 p.m. at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, followed by a private burial at Roselawn Memorial Park in Madison.
