Norma Wilcox

Wilcox, Norma L. MADISON Norma L. Wilcox, age 86, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2008, at the HospiceCare Center, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 30, 1921, in Madison, the daughter of Harry and Vivian (Colby) Tabor. Norma married Maurice N. "Morry" Wilcox on Sept. 14, 1942, in St. Louis, Mo. She was a stay at home mom, as well as assisting her husband in their service station business. Norma enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling and the outdoors, and her favorite past-times, fishing, bingo, and going to Ho-Chunk. Norma and Morry retired to Mountain Home, Ark., and later returned to Madison, due to Morrys ill health. Norma is survived by three children, Judith (Pete) Larson of Madison, Gloria (Craig) TeRonde of Neenah, and Harry "Butch" (Diane) Wilcox of Sun Prairie; four grandchildren, Jeffrey (Emily) Larson of Verona, Michelle TeRonde of Palatine, Ill., Steven (fiancee, Christy) TeRonde of Guam, and Tyler (Angela) Wilcox of McFarland; three step grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; a niece, Cheryl (Terry) Lueth of Columbus; and cousin, Delores (Lee) White of Mountain Home, Ark. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Fern; and brother-in-law, Harold Rakow. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 17, 2008, with the Rev. Dr. Dan Feaster presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Sauk Prairie Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Care Wisconsin or HospiceCare Inc. The family would like to thank Elaine and Team II of Care Wisconsin, Karmenta Nursing Home, and Dr. Rock and the HospiceCare team for all of their care and concern for Norma.
