Obituary

McClintic, Glenn Arthur MADISON - Glenn Arthur McClintic, age 95, slipped quietly into eternal sleep on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, where his soul awaits the coming of Christ. Glenn was born on Nov. 1, 1912, in Carlisle, Iowa, where he spent his childhood. After several years serving his country in the U.S. Navy, in the South Pacific during World War II, Glenn and his wife, Irene, relocated to Northern California where he worked as a medical and x-ray technologist at Amador Hospital in Jackson, Calif., for many years. Several years after losing Irene, his wife of 54 years, Glenn was rewarded for keeping the Sabbath by meeting Margaret Folkedahl at a church service. Margaret was visiting her son for the holidays. Glenn and Margaret were married on Jan. 28, 1995. Glenn moved to Madison and gained a large, loving family, at age 83. They have had 13 years of loving, learning and challenging times. Through all of his years, Glenn had lived his Adventist beliefs. He has been loved and respected by all of his new family. Glenn will be tremendously missed by his wife, Margaret and all of the family. He was a man that lived his life with dignity and true faith. A service to celebrate Glenns life will be held at ARBOR COVENANT CHURCH, 2509 McDivitt Road, Madison, at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2008. A gathering will be held at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Glenn will be laid to rest in the Merrill Cemetery. A special thanks to the staff at City View Nursing Home for the loving care and compassion shown to Glenn and Margaret for the past year.
