Elizabeth Wake

Wake, Elizabeth J. "Betty" MADISON/ LAWRENCEVILLE, GA. Elizabeth Juliaette "Betty" Wake, age 91, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2008, in Lawrenceville, Ga. She was born on July 19, 1916, in Madison, the daughter of Fred and May (Tuttle) Rogers. Betty loved singing barbershop harmony and was a member of the Madison Chapter of the Sweet Adelines for many years before moving to Yuma, Ariz. In 2000, she moved to Lawrenceville, Ga., to be closer to her family. She is survived by her son, Jack (Theodora) of Monyash-Bakewell, England; a daughter, Eddith (George) DeVeau of Cumming, Ga.; three grandchildren, Mark (Shannon) DeVeau, Scott (Maria) DeVeau, and Suzanne (Trent) Burt; and eight great-grandchildren, all of Georgia. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; sisters, Thelma Baltzer, Ruth Holland, Adeline Hansen, and Margaret Peterson; and brothers, Ralph and William. Private family services were held in Georgia with burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Madison
