Hazel Redman

Redman, Hazel E. MADISON/ WAUNAKEE Hazel E. Redman, age 83, of Madison, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 2, 2008, at Waunakee Manor. She was born on April 6, 1924, in Rio, the daughter of Henry and Sadie (Anfinson) Cleberg. Hazel married Lawrence Redman on July 5, 1957, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Madison. She was a 1942 graduate of Columbus High School and then went on to Columbia County Normal School. In her free time, Hazel enjoyed gardening, especially her raspberry patch and making raspberry jam. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Hazel was a lifetime member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, where she was active in Ruth Circle and enjoyed her church family. She is survived by her sons, Dean (Carol) Schneider of Lake Mills, Gene "Joe" (Jane) Schneider and Dale Schneider, both of Waunakee; stepdaughter, Gayle (Chris)Thomas of DeForest; grandchildren, Scott (Laura) Schneider, Tracy Schneider, Troy (Kristine) Schneider, Joel (Jenny) Schneider, Jay (Marieka) Schneider, Janelle Schneider, Kristel Schneider and Brandon Schneider; step granddaughters, Kim (Cas) Alas and Jessica (Dustin) Tuchalski; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Jacob, Lucas, Carter, Brock, Sadie, Grant and Eon; step great-granddaughters, Ashley and Stephanie; sister, Luella (Cliff) Clausen of Waunakee; sister-in-law, Joey Cleberg; many special nieces and nephews; and also many special friends. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence; stepdaughter, Holly Kamp; brother, Harvey; and granddaughter-in-law, Lisa Schneider. Funeral services will be held at HOLY CROSS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2670 Milwaukee St., Madison, on Thursday, March 6, 2008, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Bernt Tweit presiding. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, on Wednesday, March 5, 2008, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., and at the church on Thursday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Meriter Rehabilitation staff and for the special care she received at Waunakee Manor, and to Pastor Mark Bartels and Pastor Bernt Tweit from Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
