Terrance Porep

Porep, Terrance J. MADISON Terrance James "Terry" Porep, age 68 of Madison, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, at home after a long illness. He was born on March 31, 1939, in Genoa, the son of Harold F. and Marian A. (Lantz) Porep. Terrance graduated from Big Foot High School, he then went into the U.S. Navy serving for 10 years. He was married to Judith Bentheimer on Sept. 2, 1975, in Jefferson. Terrance worked at St. Colettas in Jefferson. He enjoyed woodworking, auto racing, horse shows and was a football fan. Terrance was a member of the American Legion Post No. 0501. He is survived by his wife, Judy of Madison; step-son, Paul Fischer of Janesville; step-daughter, Jacki (Jeff) Haberman of Jefferson, and JoAnne (Brian) Olson of Fort Atkinson; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Terrance was preceded in death by his son, Ron; daughter, Theresa Yoos; and parents. A memorial service will be held at the AMERICAN LEGION POST NO. 534, 4911 Burma Rd., McFarland, at 5 p.m., on Wednesday, March 5, 2008, with the Rev. Sheryl Erickson presiding. Vitiation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of service. God saw you getting tired and a cure was not meant to be, So he put his arms around you and whispered "Come with me". With tearful eyes we watched you, as we saw you pass away. Although we loved you deeply, we could not make you stay. Your Golden Heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.
