Marie Mallach

Mallach, Marie MADISON - Marie Mallach, age 95, loving mom, nana, and grandma, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008. She was born on Sept. 10, 1912, in Concord, to William and Elizabeth Friesch. Marie graduated from Watertown High School and College of St. Teresa, Winona, Minn. She married Leonard Mallach on July 2, 1938, in Watertown. He preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 1969. Marie taught school in Milwaukee, and was a secretary in Watertown, for several years before retirement. She enjoyed bird watching and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include two sons, Leon (Kathie) of Aurora, Colo., and Michael (Kathy) of Madison; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters, Irene Friesch and Isabel Friesch. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Road, Madison, at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, with Father Kent Schmitt presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 5:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery, Watertown.
