Obituary
Snyder, Kathryn Jean "Katie" MADISON Kathryn Jean "Katie" Snyder, age 8, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at St. Marys Hospital, surrounded by family and friends. She was born on Dec. 27, 1999, in Madison, the daughter of Tom and Kim (Hoddinott) Snyder. Katie was a bright, energetic, intelligent and outgoing second-grader at Kennedy School. She liked fishing, swimming, rollerblading, playing basketball and softball, playing piano and guitar, riding her bicycle and collecting bugs or "bug hunting", with her brother. Katie loved animals of all kinds; caterpillars, butterflies, fish and especially, her cats and rabbit. Her two favorite foods were raspberries and black olives, which she loved to put on her fingertips. She enjoyed listening to Shania Twain and singing along to the Phantom of the Opera. Katie loved going to Florida, up North and camping with her family. She spent a lot of time with her many friends, especially Ben, Elizabeth, Genna and Noah. Katie was known by several "names" including, Girly, Dude, KatieDid, Snuffleupagus, and Katie Kates. She was always full of life, and moved at the speed of light. Katie is survived by her loving parents; her big brother, Stephen; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Lani Hoddinott; paternal grandparents, Roger and Marie Snyder; great-grandma, Florence Derber; aunts and uncles, Kelley (Randy), Krieg (Marilee), Kurt (Jenny), Dan (Julie) and Barb (Joe); 10 cousins; and extended family members and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Road, Madison, at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, with Father Kent Schmitt presiding. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., on Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, and at the church from noon until the time of the service on Saturday. A special thanks to the St. Marys Pediatric Intensive Care Staff. If we could have a lifetime wish, A dream that would come true, We pray to God with all our heart for yesterday and you. A thousand words cant bring you back, We know because we tried, Neither will a thousand tears, We know because we cried. You left behind broken hearts, And happy memories too. But we never wanted memories, We only wanted you.

Kim and Family,
You may not remember me Kim, I worked with you the first year of my nursing career on the old B4/5. My daughter is a kindergartner at Kennedy, this is how I heard of your terrible loss. My heart is breaking for you and your family. Katie sounds like a beautiful soul. I know this loss is almost too much to bear right now. I pray for you. May memories of your angel bring you comfort and peace. Please let me know if there is anything my family can do for yours. Kristi

Dear Snyder family,
I am so sorry for your loss.Even though I did not know Katie I am sure that she will be missed by many may the love of famiy and friends and also loving memories of the good times continue to bring you comfort at this time. One thing that I have found to be a great source of comfort when I lose a loved one is the promises held out in the Bible at John 5: 28,29 Were we see that God is going to bring our loved ones back to life. at Psalm 37:10,11,29 we see that God is going to Destroy all wicked evil people and only those who are good in his eyes are going to have the hope of living forever on a paradise earth. and at Revelation 21: 4 We see that God is going to eliminate all sickness, sorrow, and death forever. it is my sincere hpe that these thoughts bring your family comfort at this time. Once again i am so sorry for your loss.
