Carl Knutson

Knutson Carl A. MIDDLETON Carl Alfred Knutson, age 96, passed away on Friday, Jan. 11, 2008. He was born on Nov. 23, 1911, in Boscobel, the son of Alfred and Minnie (Wagner) Knutson. He married Norma Miller on Aug. 28, 1941 in Blue River. Carl was a member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church, Middleton. He farmed in Blue River until his retirement in 1974 when he moved to Middleton. Carl was on the Blue River School Board for a number of years. He loved the outdoors and had enjoyed playing baseball as a young man. Carl is survived by his wife, Norma of Middleton; three children, Carl Jr. (Donna) Knutson of Macomb, Ill., Gene (Barbara) Knutson and Patricia (Larry) Eaton, all of Madison; four grandchildren, Kimberly (Scott) Walker, Clark Knutson, Andy Knutson and Erin (Curtis) Wiegel; and two great-grandchildren, Alex and Emily Walker. He is further survived by nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Albert; and a sister, Christine Devlin. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 14, 2008, at the GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton. Burial will be in St. Lukes Cemetery, Middleton. Family and friends may call on Monday from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 517 N.
