Obituary
Busch, Marland E. MIDDLETON Marland E. Busch, age 77, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on Feb. 2, 1930, in Middleton, the son of Harold and Violet (Iverson) Busch. He married Elaine Simon on Nov. 4, 1950. Marlands collections include coins, stamps, and sea shells from the Carolinas and Floridas shore lines. Marland was a member of St. Bernards Catholic Church in Middleton. He was a village police officer in his younger years in Middleton. Marland was an Honorary Member of the Middleton Fire Department and a life member of the Middleton Area Historical Society. He was an avid Badgers, Brewers and Packers fan. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; daughter, Denise (Tom) Wadzinski; sons, Steven (Holly Ingersoll) and Donald (Theresa); a son-in-law, Tom Needham; grandchildren, Rebecca Needham, Sarah (Shaun) Henderson, Melissa Needham, Joshua Wadzinski, Stefanie Busch, Amanda (Matt) Meinholz, Andrea Busch, and Emily Busch; and a great-grandson, Keenan. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sue Needham; his parents; and a brother, Lowell (Mary) Busch. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARDS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 University Ave., Middleton, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, with Monsignor Joseph P. Higgins presiding. A visitation will be held at the GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a scripture service at 3:45 p.m. Burial will be in St. Bernards Cemetery. Friends may also visit at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. A special thank you to all the doctors, nurses, HospiceCare, Meriter Home Health and Dr. Peter Idsvoog, for all the wonderful care they provided Marland. May you always walk in sunshine, and Gods love around you flow. For the happiness you gave us, no one will ever know. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone. A part of us went with you, the day God called you home. A million times weve needed you, a million times weve cried. If love could only have saved you, you would have never died.
