Obituary
Healy, Harry Burdette MIDDLETON Harry Burdette Healy, age 86, passed away at his home Friday, Jan. 25, 2008. He was born in Hudson on July 29, 1921, the son of Manley B. and Florence L. (Moll) Healy. Harry was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the 84th Infantry Division in the European Theater during World War II and saw action in the Battle of the Bulge. He married Edna Schroeder on June 24, 1944. He was employed by Gruber Furniture in Middleton from 1951 until 1960, and later worked as a general sales manager for Jaeckle Wholesale. Harry was a member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church, where he served as business administrator for several years, and American Legion Post No. 275. He was an avid reader and had a variety of outdoor interests including photography, gardening, tending his flowers and bird watching. Harry is survived by his wife of 63 years, Edna; a daughter, Annelle (Ben) Eickhoff of Evansdale, Iowa; grandchildren, Erica (Mark) Boehme and Amanda (Dan) Gleissner; great-grandchildren, Dakota and Danny Gleissner; a son, Michael (Billie) Healy of Lousiville, Ky.; grandchildren, John Healy, Pamela Healy, Ann Healy and Sharon Healy; and a brother, David (Ann) Healy of Fort Collins, Colo. A Memorial Service will be held at ST. LUKES LUTHERAN CHURCH, 7337 Hubbard Ave., Middleton, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008, with the Rev. Katya Ouchakof presiding. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Lukes Lutheran Church or to HospiceCare, Inc.
