Judy Pilger

Pilger, Judy K. MADISON/ DEFOREST Judy K. Pilger, age 62, passed away suddenly on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at University Hospital. She was born on July 19, 1945, the daughter of Harry and Meta Anderson. Judy graduated from Mount Horeb High School in 1963. She was united in marriage to Richard Pilger on Nov. 4, 1988, in Madison. Judy worked for Local No. 565, Sheet Metal Workers Union, for 40 years. She also worked for the Madison Labor Temple. Judy loved animals, attending garage and craft sales, and collected cow memorabilia. She is survived by her husband, Richard; three brothers, Keith Anderson, Jim (Jane) Anderson, and Dave (Colleen Cleary) Anderson; stepchildren, Yvette (Craig) Schambow, Bethann (Carl) Walz, and Jolene (Keith) Grass; grandchildren, Brent, Brice and Brittany Schambow, and Brandon and Bryanna Walz; special friends, Mike and Marilyn Anderson, John and Carol Dvorak, and Marilyn McWilliams; beloved pet, Maggie; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Judy was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 7 p.m., on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dane County Humane Society or Second Harvest Food Bank. Thank you to the Intensive Care Unit staffs at University Hospital and Meriter Hospital, for the care they gave Judy and her family.
