Melvina Ammann

Ammann, Melvina Wilma MADISON Melvina Wilma Ammann, age 75, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, at HospiceCare. She was born on her family farm in Alma on Aug. 26, 1932, the daughter of Marvin and Leona (Sauer) Mueller. Melvina enjoyed boating, playing cards with her family and friends, and dancing. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Linus L. Ammann; sons, Thomas (Bev) L. Ammann of Winona, Minn., Robert (Dawn) J. Ammann of St. Paul Park, Minn., and William (Linda) G. Ammann of Cottage Grove; granddaughters, Crystal (Chris Schaaf) S. Ammann of Oak Creek and Jenna L. Ammann of Winona, Minn.; grandson, Matthew (Melissa) T. Ammann of Winona, Minn.; step-grandchildren, Aimee (Aaron) Grupa and Amber (Jeff) Wait; great-grandchildren, Tyler Grupa, Connor Grupa and Kaylee Schultz; and brothers, Milan "Shorty" Mueller and Marlin Mueller. Melvina was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Myron Mueller. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield St., Monona, with Father John Meinholz presiding. Entombment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to HospiceCare, Inc. The family would like to extend their gratitude to everyone who has helped to comfort and support Melvina in her recent time of illness.
