Esther Wipperfurth

Wipperfurth, Esther M. SUN PRAIRIE Esther M. (Ripp) Wipperfurth, age 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at the Willows Nursing Center, Sun Prairie. She attended St. Xaiver Catholic School, Cross Plains. After eighth grade graduation, she worked at American Family Insurance until she married Arthur Acker. They lived in Oregon briefly, before raising their four children in Deerfield. Throughout the years, she worked seasonal jobs at different locations. Later she married Alfred Wipperfurth. Esther loved gardening and was always surrounded by plants and flowers. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, and crafts of all kinds. Esther is survived by two daughters, Ann Sie of Mauston and Susan (John) Stier of Sun Prairie; two sons, James (Angel) Acker of Reedsburg and Michael (Vicki) Acker of Nashville, Ill.; 20 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and six siblings. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred; two sisters, Rosine Triplett and Margret Kalscheur; and two brothers, Herbert and August Ripp. Funeral services will be held at RESURRECTION CATHOLIC CEMETERY CHAPEL, 2705 Regent St., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008. Visitation will be at the chapel from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center.
