Judith Minardi

Minardi, Judith Laureen "Judy" MOUNTAIN HOME, ARK./MADISON Judith Laureen "Judy" Minardi, age 64, of Mountain Home, Ark., formerly of Madison, was ushered into the arms of her Savior on Wednesday, January 16, 2008, after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born on August 18, 1943, in Madison, the daughter of Peter L. and Helen Ersland. Judy was a 1961 graduate of Madison East High School. She had previously been married to the father of her three children, Chuck Churchill. Judy married Raymond Minardi on May 21, 1983, in Monona. She worked as a medical transcriptionist with various hospitals over a 40 year span. Judy enjoyed sewing for her family especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed attending church at Twin Lakes Baptist Church, where she was a member of the church choir in Mountain Home. She has many close friends there. Judy successfully battled cancer initially in 1982, then again in 1993, with several recurrences following. She is "OTC." She is survived by her husband, Raymond "Ray" Minardi; seven children, Susan (Glenn) Badger of LaValle, Nichole Lembke of Mayville, Sonya (Jeff) Neumann of LaValle, Dean (Jane) Minardi of Duluth, Minn., Stephanie Minardi, Tony Minardi, both of Madison, and Angela (Joe) Haag of Deerfield; 20 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two sisters, Karen (Ralph) Gillespie of Mountain Home, Ark., and Raechel Ersland of Sandy, Ore., brother, Dave (Deborah) Ersland of Cottage Grove; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 21, 2008, at 1 p.m. at the GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive with the Rev. Dr. Sam Bailey of Twin Lakes Baptist Church presiding. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2008, at 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home and also on Monday at noon until the time of services at the funeral home.
