Obituary

Ramos, Georgia MADISON Georgia Ramos passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, on her 102nd birthday. She was born in Gargalona, Greece, to Poulos and Martha (Geoegakis) Krekouira. Georgia lived in Madison since 1930. She was a member of Assumption Greek Orthodox Church. Georgia sponsored the immigration of several of her nieces and nephews. She is survived by two sons, Sam (Peggy) Ramos and Chris (Jean) Ramos, both of Madison; 10 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Georgia was preceded in death by her husband, Diamon, in 1973; her parents; and a granddaughter, Debbie. Funeral services will be held at ASSUMPTION GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH, 11 N. Seventh St., Madison, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, with Father Joseph Tzougros presiding. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., with a Trisagion service at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 18, 2008. Memorials may be made to Assumption Greek Orthodox Church. The family would like to thank St. Marys Care Center, Nakoma Unit, for their loving care given to Georgia. Georgia was a wonderful mother and grandmother.
