Jane Wenz

Wenz, Jane E. MADISON Jane E. Wenz, age 65, passed away on Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, at her home. She was born on Aug. 22, 1942, in Phillipsburg, N.J., the daughter of Monard and Marion (Pine) Sanford. Jane attended Barneveld Elementary and Edgerton High School before moving to Plainfield, Ind., where she graduated in 1959. She received a bachelors degree in education from UW-River Falls. Jane was united in marriage to Carl "James" Wenz on Dec. 20, 1982. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and indulged them with love and attention. Jane spent seven years in Guatemala as a missionary. She had a wonderful sense of humor. Jane had such a giving nature and trusted in the Lord and believed her treasure was in Heaven. She is survived by her husband, James; a daughter, Elizabeth Jackson; two sons, David Carrier and Benjamin (Elena) Carrier; and their father, Charles R. Carrier; two step-sons, Rocky Wenz and Sam (Denise) Wenz; two step-daughters, Aquila Wenz and Naomi Wenz; four grandchildren, Tyson and Adriel Jackson, Alexandra Carrier and Gabrielle Estrada; a great-grandchild, Destany Jackson; five step-grandchildren; her mother, Marion Sanford; and two sisters, Mary Jo (Dan Nason) Sanford and Rosalie (Tom) Frischmann. She was preceded in death by her father, Monard. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, with the Rev. Joel Alberti presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
