Dear Connie, Unfortunately I couldn't stay after the service, but I wanted to take a moment to let you know that I am thinking of you. When I called John (still feels funny after all these years to call you by first names!) a few months ago to invite him to our class reunion picnic, it reminded me all over again why I enjoyed so much having him for a teacher. His enthusiasm was the same huge part of his personality that it was 22 years ago, and it was a blessing to get to speak to him again. It touched me that he remembered so much about each of us; it showed me that we mattered to him as individuals as much as he mattered to each of us as his students. When I told classmates that I wanted to look up former teachers and invite them to the picnic, his name-consistently-was the first one that people mentioned. I wish I had been able to spend more time talking to him at the picnic, but frankly I felt a little selfish since I had him 'all to myself' during our phone conversation, and everyone was so pleased to see him. My thoughts and prayers are with you, and I hope you find a bit of comfort in knowing that he was highly regarded, and loved by so many. It is tragic that his heart had to give out, but before it did, he gave so much of it to so many people. Becky

Mr. Mudore made a difference in the life of so many of us from Edgewood and I'm certain he had an impact on many, many others as well. The world is a better place because he was in it. Peace.

Hello Connie, My name was Dwayne White when I was a student of Mr. Mudore, in the late 70s. I had several great teachers at St. Andrews Elementary school. Reading this obituary explains so many reasons why I have such fond memories of him and you, Connie. Looking at the dates, you were still young newlyweds when I was a student and that trip to B.C. is still one that I cherish and share all the time. I'm sure Mr. Mudore has many success stories for kids that he has inspired. He may not have known it but I'm one of those as well. Dwayne Okpaise
