Elizabeth Massey

Massey, Elizabeth J. "Betty" MONONA Elizabeth J. "Betty" (Puls) Massey, age 70, of Monona, passed away on Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at the HospiceCare Center. She was born on Oct. 22, 1937, in Madison, the daughter of Otto and Johanna Puls. Betty graduated from Madison East High School in 1955. She worked for the state of Wisconsin for more than 40 years, retiring from the Department of Child Support. Betty is survived by a son, John; granddaughter, Haley; step grandchildren, Tim and Susan, and their mother, Jenny Massey; a brother, Otto (Barbara) Puls; and nieces and nephews, Julie (Ross) Cowing and their children, Sarah and Brian, Jeffrey and his daughter, Jordan, and Joanne (David) Powers and their children, Nicole and Kaitlin. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Steven. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, with Chaplain Steve Zwettler presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. The family wishes to thank HospiceCare, Dr. David Hei and Dr. Charles Weber, for their loving care given to Betty.
