Curtis Mitchell

Mitchell, Curtis MADISON Curtis Mitchell, age 58, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, at University Hospital. He was born on Oct. 4, 1949, in Scotts, Miss., the son of Hallie and Floyd Mitchell. Curtis married Sharon Leggions on Nov. 22, 1977, and were happily married for 30 years. He was an avid sports fan, especially for the Chicago Bears, Cubs and Bulls, and the Packers, as long as they were not beating the Bears. Curtis also enjoyed fishing and working. He was employed by Spec Pro/Badger Ammunition Plant in Baraboo, for 28 years. Curtis is survived by his wife, Sharon; four children, Carolyn (Galleh) Jallow, Doris Leggions, Curtis Mitchell Jr., and Carlton Mitchell; grandchildren, Maurice and Markell Leggions, Eboni Williams and Carliyah Mitchell; brothers; sisters; nieces; nephews; and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Floyd Mitchell; and nephew, Calvin Fakes. Funeral services will be held at MOUNT ZION BAPTIST CHURCH, 2109 Fisher St., Madison, on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, at noon. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
