Gordon McMahon

McMahon, Gordon W. MADISON Gordon W. McMahon, age 78, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, at St. Marys Hospital. He was born in Madison, on Sept. 10, 1929, the son of Russell and Maude (Johnston) McMahon. Gordon served in the U.S. Army as a helicopter pilot from 1951 until 1958. He earned a degree in business administration at U.W.-Madison. Survivors include his children, Nancy (Tom) Mistele, Kelly (Steven) Berg, Michael (Ann) McMahon, Lori (fiancé Joel Mensch) McMahon and Paul (Carolyn) McMahon; 11 grandchildren, Jerry (Robyn), Jenny (Mike), Nick, Lindsay, Colin, Cameron, Shawn, Ashley, Melanie, Kelsey and Kristen; three great-grandchildren, Emma, Ellie and baby on the way; his friend and ex-wife, Meryl, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Dorothy, Betty, and Bonnie. A Memorial Mass will be held at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 401 S. Owen Drive, Madison, at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, with Monsignor Kenneth Fiedler presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of services at the church on Monday.
