William Johnson

Johnson, William A. "Bill" CROSS PLAINS William A. "Bill" Johnson, age 69, formerly of Oregon, passed away on Saturday Dec. 8, 2007 at home. He was born Feb. 17, 1938 in Madison, the son of Walfred and Grace (Conway) Johnson. He was a graduate of Madison East High School. He married Lynell Freng in 1962. Bill served his country in the Army and Army Reserves. He worked for Canteen Vending and Ohmeda. Bill enjoyed fishing and was a licensed ham radio operator. Bill is survived by his wife Lynell, children, David A. (Trisha) Johnson of Ingleside, Ill., and Lisa (Jeff) Davis of Cross Plains; a sister, Wilma (Norbert) Bernards; a brother, Richard Johnson; and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Harold Johnson. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON CROSS PLAINS FUNERAL HOME, 2421 Church St., Cross Plains on Wednesday Dec. 12, 2007, at 11 a.m. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
