Hrubes-Sinclair, Roberta MADISON Roberta Hrubes-Sinclair, age 68, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, at Belmont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, after a 10 year courageous battle with multiple sclerosis. She was born on April 14, 1939, in Madison, the daughter of William and Ione (Johnson) Elmer. Roberta graduated from Madison East High School in 1957. She was united in marriage to John Hrubes in November 1957. Roberta worked at First Wisconsin Bank for many years. In August 1991, she married Guy Sinclair at Trinity Lutheran Church. She loved to travel, but her family and her home meant everything to her. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. Roberta is survived by her mother, Ione Elmer; her husband, Guy; three children, Kim (Shane) McCann, Chris (Denise) and Craig (Julie); seven grandchildren, Shannon (Christian), Heather, Lucas, Aubrey, Aaron, Emmy and Maddy; a great-grandson, Tyler; sister-in-law, Joanne; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; first husband, John; and brother-in-law, Robert Hrubes. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 10 a.m., on Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, with the Rev. John Ruppenthal presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
