Brennum, Gerald L. MADISON/ DODGEVILLE Gerald L. Brennum, age 75, passed away on Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at his home surrounded by family. He was born on March 7, 1932, in Dodgeville, the son of Luman and Marie (Gerber) Brennum. Gerald graduated from Dodgeville High School. He served his country as a corporal in the U.S. Army, during the Koren War, 1951-1953. Gerald was united in marriage to Annita Towe on Dec. 24, 1952, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Madison. He was a truck driver for Red Dot, Frito-Lay, Coca-Cola and Walgreens-Sunbelt. Gerald enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, berry picking and spending time at his Amish cabin. He enjoyed watching televised sporting events, which you would find the remote control glued in his hand. His grandchildren were very important to him and he taught them his love of nature. Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Annita; two daughters, Lynda Joy of Madison and Debra Ann of Madison; grandchildren, Melissa Kampmeier of Madison, Lucas Brennum of Madison and Joshua Kampmeier of McFarland; a great-granddaughter, Peyton Kampmeier; and two sisters, Doris Miller of Belleville and Mary Katherine (Harold) Chappell of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Arlyn Eveland and Margaret Caygill; many other relatives; and his beloved friend, Duke. Funeral services will be held at LAKE EDGE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 4032 Monona Drive, at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, with the Rev. Richard Blomker presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. Special thanks to the Hospice staff, for the care they gave Gerald.
