Marvin Kroneman

Kroneman, Marvin H. MADISON Marvin H. Kroneman, age 90, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2007, at the HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg. He was born on July 28, 1917, in Marshall, the son of Henry and Mary (Potratz) Kroneman. He graduated from Marshall High School. Marvin married Alice Metzker on Nov. 9, 1939, in Lake Mills. He began working for Oscar Mayer in 1941 and was employed for 37 years. He was an active member of Bashford United Methodist Church for 54 years. He was in the Mens Club, was an usher, Singles and Doubles, the ABCs, and served on numerous other committees. He enjoyed traveling with family and friends, fishing, hunting and boating. Marvin is survived by his daughter, Judy (John) Baumann of Madison; son, David (Mary Jo) Kroneman of Sun Lakes, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Stephen (Christine) Baumann, Corey (Joan) Baumann, Susan (Lon) Bauer, Mark (Meghan) Kroneman and Katie (Chris) Kunesh; seven great-grandchildren, Natalie, Nicole and Regan Baumann, Kayla and Camden Baumann, and Evan and Amanda Bauer; a sister, Pearl (Harold) Heller of Lake Mills; two brothers-in-law, Roy (Lorraine) Metzker of Lakeland, Fla. and Ron Wollin of Madison; wife, Bernadine Skalitzky; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice in 1992; infant son, Larry; infant twin brother, Melvin; sister, Shirley Wollin; and brothers, Edward, Arthur and Clarence. Funeral services are being held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at BASHFORD UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 329 North St., Madison, with the Rev. Fran Deaner presiding. Burial will be in Rock Lake Cemetery, Lake Mills. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
