Dorothy Messner

Messner, Dorothy T. MADISON Dorothy Trudell Messner, age 100, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007. She was born on Nov. 17, 1907, in Iron Mountain, the daughter of Fred and Albana (Cote) Trudell. Dorothy was united in marriage to Ray W. Messner in Iron Mountain on June 8, 1929. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, with a real zest for life. She had many interests and creative talents. Dorothy was a prize winning cook, a world traveler, and loved to play bridge. Her caring and devotion to her family was important to her and will be missed by everyone. She was a member of the East Side Womens Club, Elks Club and Maple Bluff County Club. Dorothy is survived by her son, Gary (Sally) Messner of Verona; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; three sisters; and a brother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; a son, Donald; daughter-in-law, Carolyn; grandson, Michael; and three sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield St., Monona, at 10 a.m., on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, with Father John Meinholz presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.
