LeAnn Feiter

Feiter, LeAnn M. MADISON LeAnn M. Feiter, age 45, died on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, from complications of ovarian cancer, at the HospiceCare Center, Fitchburg. She was a lesson in courage, battling cancer for two and a half years. LeAnn was born on Nov. 21, 1962, in Milwaukee, to Neil and JoAnne (Vazney) Feiter. She graduated from Whitefish Bay High School in 1981 and UW-Oshkosh in 1985, with a bachelors degree in nursing. LeAnn started her nursing career in Phoenix, Ariz., before moving back to Madison. She worked at University Hospital, Dean Medical Center and UW Medical Foundation. LeAnn loved to travel, the outdoors, hiking and animals. She enjoyed music and going to concerts. Following LeAnns cancer diagnosis, she fulfilled a lifelong dream of meeting Bruce Springsteen. LeAnn is survived by her mother, JoAnne Feiter of Whitefish Bay; brother, Todd (Tara) Feiter of Oshkosh; she was the proud aunt of Kaisten Kaylynn LeAnn Feiter; cat, Monti; special friends, Nina Hills, Dennis Landon, David Piovanetii, Steve Staton, Sara and Ben Zimmerman and countless others. She was preceded in death by her father, Neil Feiter; and dog, Kinsella. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in LeAnns name at Associated Bank, 6007 Monona Drive, Monona, WI 53716 for her favorite charities.
