Dear Bev, Kristin, Brian, Jacob and extended family... You are in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. Steve had so much to offer to everyone who he met during his life. He was so vibrant and always positive and encouraging especially to young children. He will be dearly missed. Our sincerest sympathy to you all. ~ The Kelms

We remember Steve's passionate logic each time he spoke at a Village Board meeting. Such a calm, intelligent voice will be sorely missed, even by those who knew him only from a distance. Our deepest sympathy to all who loved him.

Dear Bev and Family, I marched with Steve in the UW Band back in the good old 1980's -- he was a fantastic trumpeter, kind young man, and a funny and good-hearted friend with a devilish grin. He could 'chug' picante sauce with John VH and his other Rank 1 buddies like nobody else I've ever seen! It was so much fun to have you all come out to the Hody Bar and have Steve play horn with the 'Dawgs' a few years ago -- he sounded great and never missed a beat! He will truly be missed, but I feel so fortunate to have had him in our lives for as long as we did. You will be in our thoughts and prayers, and I hope you're able to find comfort in your wonderful memories of him.
