Obituary
Quartuccio, John D. MADISON/WAUPUN - John D. Quartuccio, age 82, of Waupun, passed away on Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, at St. Marys Hospital, after a short illness. He was born on Dec. 27, 1924, in Madison, the son of Nicholas and Jenny (Caravello) Quartuccio. John served in the U.S. Army Combat Engineer Corp., during World War II. He was a brick layer for 60 years. John took great pride in the buildings he helped erect in the Madison area. He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Beverly of Waupun; his children, John (Terry) Quartuccio of Portage, Jane (Dick) Fasking of Monona, JoAnn (Dave) Janececk of Monona, Dale (Patty) Reigstad of Deltona, Fla., Tony Reigstad of Waunakee, Michael (Cindy) Reigst of Arlington, LaVerne (Janice) Reigstad of Tacoma, Wash., Kathleen (John) Walton of Stoughton and Daniel (Cheryl) Reigstad of Longview, Texas; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Quartuccio of Monona and Rose Staggs of Fresno, Calif.; a brother, Tony (Pam) Quartuccio of Madison; and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Arby; brother, Joseph Quartuccio; and a sister, Alfonza Harvey. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. The family would like to extend thanks and gratitude to Dr. Cowgill and the staff at St. Marys Hospital.
