Donna Rush

Rush, Donna Jean STOUGHTON - Donna Jean Rush, age 77, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, after a brief illness. She was born on June 15, 1930, in Madison, to Andy and Angeline (Eberle) Christenson. Donna graduated from Edgewood High School. She met her future husband, William Rush, at a dance while he was stationed at Camp McCoy. They were united in marriage on Nov. 10, 1951, and lived in Hawarden and Sheldon, Iowa for many years prior to moving to the Madison area to care for Donnas parents. Donna was a longtime member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends, traveling, camping, gardening, music and being with loved ones. Donna is survived by her husband, Bill Rush; sons, Robert Rush of Marshalltown, Iowa, Ron (Tammy) Rush of Litchfield Park, Ariz., and Richard (Joleen) Rush of Leon, Iowa; son-in-law, Michael Lumina; grandchildren, Amy Rush, Aric Rush, Matthew Lumina, Dominic Wright and Vincent Wright; a great-grandson, Charles Wright; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Jean (Robert "Buddy") Smith, Charlene (David) Anderson, Patricia Wall and Elaine (Glenn) Lorenzen; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Chris Lumina on Aug. 6, 2006; brother, Robert Christenson; and brothers-in-law, Robert Rush, Paul Rush and James Wall. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield St., Monona, at noon on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, with Father John Meinholz presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Town of Dunn Burial Grounds. Memorials may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
