McKichan, Clyde M. STOUGHTON - Clyde Max "Mac" McKichan, age 75, of Stoughton, passed away on Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, at Harmony Living Center. Clyde was born on May 30, 1932, in Mount Hope, to Ernest and Bertilla (Thompson) McKichan. He married Henrietta Meier on July 5, 1954. Clyde entered the Navy in 1952, serving in the Philippines and in Las Vegas, Nev., until his discharge in 1956. Clyde and Henrietta resided for a time in Milwaukee and later moved to rural Cottage Grove and McFarland. They moved to Stoughton in 2002. Clyde worked as a mechanic, first for Raemisch and Sons and then for 27 years at United Parcel Service, based in Madison. He retired in 1994. Clyde enjoyed spending time with his family and watching Brewers games on television. Clyde is survived by his wife, Henrietta of Stoughton; two sons, Bernard (Barbara) McKichan of Sheboygan and David (Shannon) McKichan of Stoughton; a grandson, Ryan (Suzanne) McKichan of Madison; four granddaughters, Elizabeth (Craig) Brekken of Stoughton, Maggie McKichan of Stoughton and Brianna and Caitlin McKichan of Sheboygan; a great-granddaughter, Lydia Brekken of Stoughton; two sisters, Helen Kress and Maxine Bauer, both of Mount Hope; as well as many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dorothy Bollard and Carol Stenner; and his brother, Goodsell McKichan. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL HOME, Highway 51 North at Jackson St., Stoughton, at noon, on Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, with Monsignor Gerard Healy presiding. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park, Monona, following the service. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. To a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, mentor, role model, but mostly a best friend, you will be missed deeply. Our love to you always.
