Obituary
Fisher, Virginia L. MADISON - Virginia L. Fisher, age 82, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center, surrounded by her family. She was born on Sept. 15, 1925, in Bagley, to Clifford and Leona (Markley) Fisher. Ginny graduated from Ellensburg High School, Ellensburg, Wash., in 1943 and Spokane Business College in 1945. She and her family returned to Wisconsin following World War II. Ginny was an active member of St. Anns Catholic Church. After her retirement, she volunteered at the Stoughton Senior Center. Ginny enjoyed baking, crocheting, reading and loved spending time with her family. She was an avid Packers fan. Ginny is survived by her children, Michael (Judy) Harris of Jupiter, Fla., Cyndia Harris of Pardeeville, Jennifer Harris of Stoughton and Jan (Greg Layton) Harris of Edgerton; eight grandchildren, Sarah (Nate) Karp, Melissa Harris, Leah Harris, Joshua Crawley, Karen Harris, Ryan Angell, Ashley Crawley and Lindsay Angell (fiance, Ryan Harkins); two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Abigail Karp; sisters, Shirley Olson, Gloria (Marty) Wesolowski and Mary (Roger) Sams; and brother, Jack (Joann) Fisher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fay Harris, on March 15, 1998; her parents; and brother-in-law, Emil Olson. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL HOME, Highway 51 North, at Jackson St., Stoughton, at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007, with Monsignor Gerard Healy presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Mount Ida Cemetery, Lancaster, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Anns Catholic Church or Stoughton Senior Center.
