Obituary

Landsverk, Dorothy Jane STOUGHTON - Dorothy Jane Landsverk, age 78, of Stoughton, passed away peacefully on Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, at HospiceCare. She was born on Nov. 21, 1928, in Moundville, the daughter of Alexander and Florence (Judd) Feely. Dorothy attended Oxford Schools. She married James Bascombe on Dec. 24, 1946, in Wisconsin Dells. Dorothy married her soul mate, Earl Landsverk on July 6, 1953, in Dubuque, Iowa. She worked for the State of Wisconsin, Division of Health, for more than 30 years. After retirement, she and Earl were always together, they traveled, enjoyed antiquing, and were involved in real estate. They enjoyed time at cottages on the Wisconsin River, west of Sauk City, and on Lake Koshkonong. Dorothy was a member of Eastern Star. She liked knitting, reading, quilting and spending time with her grandchildren. Dorothy was very determined and had a great sense of humor. She is survived by her eight children, Jerry (Joan) Bascombe of Lenexa, Kan., Sharon (Dale) Langer of Reno, Nev., Luanne (Noah) Dietzman of DeForest, Gloria (Leif) Mikkelson of Manawa, Susan Landsverk of Madison, Sheila (Ron Hunt) Landsverk of Lodi, Eric (Carla) Landsverk of Stoughton and Tully (Karyl) Landsverk of Terre Haute, Ind.; 34 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands, James and Earl; a son, James Henry Bascombe; a grandson, Mark Langer; two great-grandsons, Austin and Keith Mikkelson; and five brothers, Lawrence, Glen, Forest, Frank and Hugh. Funeral services will be held GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL HOME, Hwy. 51 North at Jackson St., Stoughton, at 10 a.m., on Monday, Sept. 24, 2007. Burial will be at Oxford Cemetery, Oxford. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday, Sept. 24, 2007. Memorials may be made to HospiceCare, Inc.
