Stanley Engelke

Engelke, Stanley L. MADISON - Stanley L. Engelke, age 83, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, at his home. He was born on Dec. 7, 1923, in Marshall, to Frank and Marie (Simonson) Engelke. Stanley retired from Oscar Mayer in 1985. He loved gardening and orange popsicles. Stanley is survived by a son, Michael (Julie Komp) Engelke; his children, Nathan and Tomoe Engelke; daughter, Krysann (Michael) Karls; her children, Nina, Sarah and Melissa Karls; and good friend, Kaoru Knudsen. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, James Engelke. Funeral services will be held at CORNERSTONE CHURCH, 550 Portland Road, Waterloo, at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, with the Rev. Keith Doyle presiding. Visitation will be at the church from noon until the time of the service.
