Denson, Helga Louise BUFFALO CITY - Helga Louise Denson, our beloved mother, died on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, at home of natural causes. She was born on Oct. 25, 1920, in Drummond, to Victor Holmberg and Amelia Roebuck. Helga graduated from Drummond High School. After graduating, she moved to Madison and worked in sales. Later, Helga lived with her sister, Esther, and her family, to help out during an illness. On March 15, 1946, she married Harry Denson. They lived in rural Madison and raised three children. Helga was a stay at home mom and was an excellent cook. She also was an avid Packers fan. On game days, Helga would put on her Packers sweatshirt for good luck, but it didnt always work. She enjoyed playing music on her keyboard. In later years, Helga and Harry moved to Hancock and then to Cochrane, which is near the Mississippi River, so Harry could fish. He preceded Helga in death in 1997. Helga remained in Cochrane, living in the house they had built. She was a kind and gentle soul, and enjoyed living alone.
