William Eckstein

Eckstein, William G. "Willie" ROXBURY/MIDDLETON - William G. Eckstein, age 77, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at St. Marys Care Center. He was born on June 11, 1930, in Roxbury, the son of the late John and Regina (Ballweg) Eckstein. He was employed for over 38 years with St. Marys Hospital, retiring in 1992. Willie was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed all sports, especially Middleton Baseball and Football, and had been voted Middleton Baseballs No. 1 fan. Willie is survived by three sisters, Mary Ann Lybek of Middleton, Helen (Don) Ballweg of Ashton and Dorothy (Jerry) Pertzborn of Dane; 12 nieces; nephews and many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARDS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 University Ave., Middleton, at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, with Monsignor Douglas Dushack presiding. Burial will be in St. Norberts Cemetery, Roxbury. Family and friends may call at the GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, from 5 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, and also on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
