Richard Tekippe

Tekippe, Richard W. "Rick" CROSS PLAINS - Richard "Rick" Tekippe, age 52, passed away on Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, at the HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg. Rick was born on June 14, 1955, in Highland Park, Ill., the son of the late Nilus and Dorothy Tekippe. He grew up in Northbrook, Ill., and graduated from Glenbrook North High School. He received a bachelors degree in Forestry from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Rick was employed by the Bruce Company (Middleton, Wis.) for more than 27 years. He enjoyed traveling, boating and the outdoors. Rick is survived by three sisters, Jean (Ray) Yeackley of Wheeling, Ill., Joan (Jim) Fischer of Morgan Hill, Calif. and Janet (Jim) Hankner of Lake Villa, Ill.; a brother, Tom (Donna) Tekippe of Mosinee; a niece; four nephews and many other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held at the GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, with the Rev. Rich Gibbs presiding. There will be a visitation on Saturday from 2 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Rick was loved and will be warmly remembered by all who knew him.
