Obituary
Walsh, Gladys A. MADISON - Gladys A. (Slotten) Walsh, of Madison, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, at the age of 89. She was born on March 24, 1918, in Preeceville, Saskatchewan, Canada, to two Norwegian immigrants, John and Kristine (Haug) Slotten. Shortly after her mothers death, Gladys and her two siblings, Josephine and Art, moved with their father to the Madison area where other relatives resided. Gladys adapted well to life in Wisconsin with her ever growing family. She was blessed with three sons, Robert (Carolyn) Lovelace, Gary Lovelace, and Edward J. Walsh III (Jane Patton Walsh). Gladys is further survived by six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; along with many beloved relatives. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. In addition to being missed by her family, Gladys will be dearly missed by her special friends, Alice, Joyce, and Mary. Special thanks to the caring staff at Willows Rehabilitation Center.
