Ann Johnson

Johnson, Ann E. MARSHALL - Ann E. Johnson, age 73, of Marshall passed away on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born on Sept. 30, 1933, in Madison, the daughter of Leslie and Alice (Jedamus) Smith. Ann graduated from Madison East High School. She was united in marriage to Douglas Johnson on Feb. 19, 1955, in Madison. The couple farmed in rural Marshall for 22 years. She was a proud member of American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 279. Ann enjoyed handwork, drawing, and spinning. When her children were growing up she was active in their school. Ann is survived by her three children, Steven (Betsy) Johnson of Belleville, Teresa Johnson of Council Bluffs, Iowa and David (Laura) Johnson of Marshall; five grandchildren, Brandi, David Jr., Nathaniel, Benjamin, and Blake; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Doug; brother-in-law, Kenneth Johnson; and nephew, Kurt Johnson. Funeral services will be held at HOLY TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 605 Madison Street, Marshall at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, with the Reverend Paul Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday Sept. 25, 2007, and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Memorials may be made to HospiceCare or the American Kidney Fund.
