Gerber, Nancy K. ALBANY - Nancy K. Gerber, age 68, passed away on Friday, Sept. 21, 2007. She was born on Aug. 3, 1939, in Shirland, Ill., the daughter of Roy and Ruth King. Nancy graduated from Albany High School, with the class of 1957. She was united in marriage to John J. Gerber on April 23, 1960. Nancy enjoyed living in many cities as a military wife. She had a wonderful personality and easily made lasting friendships. Nancy was a member of Red Hat Club. She loved to travel and entertain. Nancy was always busy with crafts, sewing and puzzles. She is survived by a son, Douglas Gerber of Oregon; two daughters, Wendy (Pat) Newton of Grafton, Ohio and Faith (Greg) Miller of Waynesboro, Va.; five grandchildren, Jonathen Gerber, Malissa Gerber, Rebecca (Josh) Peterson, Joseph Newton and Jessica Miller; two great-grandchildren, Krystal and Julie; a sister, Charlotte King; three brothers-in-law, Bryant Wethal, Gene (Beverly) Gerber and Duane (Elaine) Gerber; and two sisters-in-law, Beverly (Luther) Cook and Mary (Edward) Rought. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John on May 20, 1982; a brother, Ernest King; and a sister, Eloise Wethal. Memorial services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 4 p.m., on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, with a visitation to follow until 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Fitchburg, WI 53711. Thank you to the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center, for the wonderful care given to Nancy and all of her friends, for their support.
